Salvation isn’t about being rescued from damnation but about awareness to the facts of one’s heavenly nature. The crucifixion is observed not as a sacrifice for humanity’s sins but as an exhibition of the ability of forgiveness and love.

The writing is written in a manner that encourages a course in miracles  introspection, prompting readers to study their beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors. As the teachings may be challenging, they’re also deeply rewarding, offering a pathway to a living full of better peace, joy, and purpose.

The sources of A Program in Wonders are as stimulating as their content. Schucman traced the style she heard to Jesus, though she himself was not religious and usually fought with the material. Her associate William Thetford supported her in transcribing and arranging the writing, and their venture triggered the publication of the Program in 1976.
